To get Intel's innovation economy message in front of "D.C. Elites", thought leaders and policy makers, a series of eight dynamic ads were placed on Politico.com in the days preceding Barack Obama's State of the Union Address (SOTU). This week-long takeover utilized separate graphics that were sequenced to create a seamless SOTU trivia quiz experience.
The first question appears in the full banner while a countdown (5 to 1) commences in the vertical ad space.
When time expires, the answer is revealed to the visitor and without any interaction, the sequence repeats with a new SOTU question and answer.
The third question in the series shifts focus to Intel and tracks back to the SOTU theme through a call-to-action prompting the visitor to learn more about the state of Intel innovation. At any time the visitor can click through to Intel's innovation microsite.
